South Pacific Islands

Whoever came up with the expression “heaven on earth” must have been in the South Pacific. The islands in the South Pacific remain to be some of the most pristine locations in the world. The beautiful beaches and lagoons offer spectacular diving, snorkeling, sailing or just relaxing. This area is famous for its over the water bungalow resorts.

Sunny days, pure white sand beaches, magnificent reefs and endless sunsets
make this your perfect escape.

Tahiti is the largest of all the Tahitian islands with its capital city of Papeete. Its large peaks tower over the ocean, and its mountainous interior has deep valleys, winding streams and beautiful waterfalls. It is also the getaway to other islands and cruises.

Moorea and Bora Bora are the other two islands that get most of the tourists. Like the island of Tahiti, they both have tall volcanic peaks with lust tropical settings all descending down to the crystal clear water. With many upscale resorts, most with over-the-water accommodations the choice can be difficult on where to stay.

With the 225-passenger Paul Gaugin cruise ship doing one week Tahitian cruises, you can get a taste of many of the islands. As with Hawaii, we suggest a pre or post cruise stay. If you are looking for an upscale location for a honeymoon or destination wedding you won’t find a better destination.

Fiji is a tiny country consisting of 300 islands full of natural beauty and wonderous colors. Known for its beaches, reefs and inland forests, this is a destination waiting to be discovered. Besides fabulous diving and snorkeling, one can enjoy horseback riding in the forests or a fishing expedition.

There are also excursions to visit traditional villages to meet the locals. From resorts with over the water bungalows to secluded luxury resorts, Fiji is a favorite with honeymooners and anyone seeking an ultimate tropical escape. There are a number of over the top resorts that are located on their own private island. They are accessible only by boat (in some cases by helicopter) and offer the ultimate in luxury and privacy.
